We’re looking for a dynamic and driven National Key Account Development Manager to partner with our existing customers within the Aerospace sector!

As National Key Account Development Manager, you will have full responsibility for the development of the customer relationship and account development, commercial management and strategic account leadership and direction to achieve profitable sustainable revenue growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has exposure within the Aerospace sector as the role will be to further our “maintain and grow” strategy to maximise the company’s profitable sales revenues.

The Role 


We support our customers to ensure they have all the parts, spares and tooling they need to operate as well as working hard to ensure we obtain the best deals with suppliers.

The purpose of the National Key Account Development Manager (ADM) role is to take full responsibility for the profitable growth and development of a nominated defined list of existing key account customers within a core vertical industry sector that plays to the strengths of our UK brands.

In addition, full responsibility will be expected for the development of the customer relationship and account development, commercial management and strategic account leadership and direction to achieve profitable sustainable revenue growth.

The ADM will be responsible for the performance and retention of the accounts with complexity, scale and potential within the company customer portfolio. The main purpose of the role is to be focused % on a ‘maintain and grow’ strategy to maximise the Company's profitable sales revenues across both our brand channels.

Key Responsibilities

·       Personally contribute to ensuring a safe and ethical working environment for colleagues, customers and suppliers.

·       Strategic direction and leadership of relevant account portfolio to drive profitable growth that aligns to the corporate and portfolio strategy.

·       Direction of and collaboration with, the Regional Sales network to deliver the planned account activity, with a particular emphasis on call quality to deliver positive outcomes.

·       Develop, maintain, articulate, communicate and execute strategic customer plans to achieve profitable growth.

·       Responsible for all aspects of customer relationship and account development, commercial management and cost saving initiatives for accounts of high complexity and/or scale.

·       Develop and maintain relationships with each key stakeholders, building a strong understanding of each client’s current activities and requirements in order to develop significant increase in the share of the customers wallet in the future.

·       Identify and build relationships with partners and potential partners internally and externally to strengthen our business offering.

·       Compliance with all Security, Safety, Health & Environmental responsibilities and requirements as detailed in the Company’s Security, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.


Role Requirements:

·       Specific technical, specialised, professional or commercial knowledge needed – strong knowledge of the strategic and operational side of the business in a customer focused multi-location operation.

·       Good financial and commercial awareness with a clear understanding of all aspects of the P&L, balance sheet, budgets, cost/benefit analysis etc. Understanding of specific industry segments.

·       The minimum vocational/academic qualifications required - Formal training program after GSCEs equivalent to one year of vocational, academic, technical education (e.g. A Levels, NVQ Level III, Highers, BTEC).

·       Knowledge and high level of proficiency in the use of IT software packages - Able to confidently and competently use a variety of business packages e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint with a level of proficiency that enables the jobholder to produce advanced proposals, reports, tables, spreadsheets, and presentations.

·       Must be able to demonstrate a successful track record and show the achievement of financial objectives and targets in a key account management role.
