Sure Staffing is currently recruiting Inspection Operatives to join a reputable and growing manufacturer based in the Brough . This company plays a key role in the aerospace and defence industries, producing and testing high-quality cable assemblies and wiring systems used in critical applications worldwide.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM

    Location:

  • Brough HU15 area

    Pay Rates for Painter:

  • £12.21/per hour

    Purpose of the Role:

    You will be responsible for ensuring all products meet strict quality and environmental standards, while complying with national, international, and customer-specific requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply all inspection requirements as outlined in quality documentation.

  • Comprehend testing requirements in line with internal procedures.

  • Follow customer specifications as detailed in engineering documentation and drawings.

  • Perform first article inspections and compile the associated paperwork.

  • Familiarize with Build Card requirements outlined in internal documents.

  • Raise deviations in line with internal processes, ensuring accurate cause code identification.

  • Carry out inspection checks on wire stripping and crimping processes.

  • Test control panels in compliance with relevant test documents and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.

  • Verify new loom foils against drawing requirements.

  • Operate continuity and megger electrical testing machines safely.

  • Use test equipment competently and in accordance with safety guidelines.

  • Ensure all assemblies are free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and properly capped for delivery.

  • Pack cables securely for delivery.

  • Operate AUTOMEG/DITMCO testing machines.

    Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Take reasonable care for your own health, safety, and the environment, and for others who may be affected by your work activities.

  • Cooperate on health and safety matters with Amphenol, ensuring compliance with the company's Health & Safety Policy and proper use of safety equipment provided.

    Business Responsibilities

  • Ensure all relevant Work Instructions are followed as specified in the Quality Systems Manual.
