Job description
Initially, the roles are for 6 months, with potential extensions for 12-18 months.
Reporting directly to Team Leaders and the Manufacturing Team Manager, the primary focus of these roles is operating our automated plating line within the Manufacturing Finishing Department (MFD). While initially specialised, the roles may evolve to encompass various plating tasks, including preparation and masking of parts. We value flexibility and a positive attitude in our team members.
We are actively seeking two Semi-Skilled individuals with a foundational understanding of metal finishing and a keenness to learn. Additionally, we are seeking one Skilled Metal Finisher to join our team.
The working hours for these roles are as follows: Core Day Shift: 7:30 am - 4:15 pm (Monday to Thursday) | 7:30 am - 11:30 am (Friday)
Pay:
Semi-Skilled: £15.15 PAYE + Holiday pay, increasing to £15.61 + holiday pay after 12 weeks.
Skilled: £16.28 PAYE + Holiday pay, increasing to £16.77 + holiday pay after 12 weeks.
Annual pay increases imminent.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently produce work within cost parameters. Foster a culture of continuous improvement as per Eaton standards. Uphold a safe working environment and adhere to a 5S approach. Proactively suggest cost-saving initiatives and innovative ideas. Demonstrate cooperation and flexibility in tasks. Strict adherence to all Eaton EHS, Quality, and training requirements. Collaborate effectively within a team. Interpret engineering drawings and relevant aerospace plating specifications.
Experience:
Prior experience in Heat Treatment is essential for skilled role. Other metal finishing experiences, particularly in chemical treatments such as alocroming and anodising, will be considered. Familiarity with chemical storage, safety procedures, and usage. Proficiency in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
Any relevant qualifications in plating would be advantageous. Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications. Possession of relevant health and safety qualifications would be beneficial.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK freely, adhering to ITAR restrictions
