Mechanical Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join one of the UK's most comprehensive manufacturers of precision castings Based in Halstead, Essex to work in a climate-controlled inspection lab.
The ideal candidate will need CMM experience (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
The Role

• You will be responsible for measuring both un-machined and machined castings using CMM and hand-held measuring equipment, working to demanding aerospace standards.
  
• Experience in programming and operating CMM and similar measuring devices.
  
• Carry out final inspection, FAIR and in process inspections on castings.
  
• Understanding of CMM programming. QCT software would be advantageous.
  Skills
  
• Experience in CMM operating/programming
  
• Understand component drawings.
  
• Experience of working in the aerospace/defence sectors is desirable.
  
• Experience of working to ISO9001 /AS9100 quality approvals.
  Working Hours
  Rotating shift pattern of one-week earlies (07:00 – 15:00) and one-week lates (15:00 – 23:00), or permanent lates if that suits the candidate. Shifts will start after an initial period of no more than 3-months on days

  £26- £34K DOE + £1.50 PH working late shift
