Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Location: Near Uxbridge, West London
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:45pm, Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We’re hiring for a precision-driven Mechanical Fitter to join a globally recognised aerospace manufacturing business near Uxbridge. This is a hands-on role in the Fitting Shop where you’ll build detailed mechanical assemblies for safety-critical equipment used in military and defence applications.

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed bench fitting and mechanical build of aerospace assemblies

Install a wide range of threaded inserts and locking pins

Perform jig drilling, taper reaming, thread locking and crimping operations

Carry out manual riveting techniques as well as orbital and spin riveting processes

Assemble cables, hoses, firing handles and gun systems using hand tools

Read and follow engineering drawings and build plans accurately

Conduct quality checks and complete documentation for each build

Follow health & safety protocols and contribute to 5S and lean improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

Mechanical assembly or bench fitting background

Confident with precision tools and techniques (e.g. riveting, reaming, crimping, drilling)

Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Basic computer skills (SAP experience desirable)

Excellent attention to detail and a methodical working style

A team player who takes pride in doing the job right first time
