You’ll be saving 25 lives a year by solving complex problems then generating simple design concepts including 3D models and advanced simulations for precision, high value aerospace equipment

  • Produce top level design layouts from which detailed parts can be developed.
  • Consulting with colleagues and SMEs on technical interpretation and advice.
  • Developing and maintaining cost and mass models for products.
  • Undertake design reviews then producing and presenting design review presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Checking engineering drawings for functionality and correctness and ensuring drawings and specifications complies with BS8888 and aerospace standards

    Qualifications Required

  • BSc BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status

    Technical Skills

  • Complex engineering modelling with hand calculations

  • Knowledge of finite element techniques.
  • CAD and Teamcenter

  • ANSYS, Strand7, NX Nastran, LS Dyna.

  • Multibody dynamics modelling tools such as ADAMS.
  • TK Solver or MathCAD
  • SAP ERP system
