We're excited to be supporting an independent specialist in industrial water treatment. The company delivers tailored solutions across sectors such as aerospace, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. With over half a century of combined expertise, it offers services including reverse osmosis, deionisation, wastewater treatment, and ongoing maintenance support.

Due to continued growth, they are now actively seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D design drawings, developing standardised components, supporting fabrication with technical documentation, and liaising with clients to ensure design accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

Producing drawings in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
Developing a 3D library for standard plant items
Liaising with clients on design details and validating manufactured designs
Creating detailed manufacturing drawings including general arrangements, part drawings, developments, and templates
Producing piping and steelwork fabrication drawings (Isometrics, general arrangements, orthographic)
Reviewing and checking detailed design drawings in line with industry standards and client specifications
Preparing and checking bills of materials
Providing technical input during detailed engineering phases
Supporting the preparation of manufacturing work packsExperiences required

Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks (or similar CAD software: Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, Fusion 360, Onshape, etc)
Good understanding of AutoCAD 2D
Background in water treatment or similar industries such as oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, chemical processing, food & beverage, or power generation
Experience designing for P&ID, tanks, pressure vessels, valves, pumps, filtration systems, skids, etcPackage
