JOB – Manufacturing Sales Manager

LOCATION – Purley, South London

TERM- Permanent

SALARY – £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Sales Manager on a permanent basis in the South London area with experience in the Manufacturing or Engineering Industry. Your main duties will include translating a customers need and wants into a product / service and help drive the product performance across the UK and abroad..

The Sales Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

Experience working as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or similar Head of Sales role.
Experience in Sales, proposals, or project management.
Previous experience building relationships with clients / customers in a manufacturing or engineering business.
Strong knowledge of various mechanical and electro-mechanical products and manufacturing processes.
Experience working within a regulated industry such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Medical devices or Nuclear would be beneficial.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as team
Experience in Mechanical Manufacturing  - beneficialThe Sales Manager role will involve:

Engaging with customers and clients to understand their needs and requirements.
Translate a client’s needs / requirements into a product and service.
Drive sales and business strategies to improve existing accounts and bring in new ones.
Manage the process from initial enquiry through to proposal and order acceptance.
Liaise with engineering departments to manage clients expectations of our capabilities.
