Our client is a well-established, family-owned company based in Coventry, known for providing innovative aerospace and finishing solutions.

From bespoke machine builds to consumables and subcontract finishing services, their commitment to quality and innovation drives everything they do. As they continue to grow, they are now seeking a Manufacturing Manager to take the lead on their machinery and series production — ensuring efficient operations and first-class output.

🔧 Your Role

As Manufacturing Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end production operations, leading the assembly of machinery, the manufacture of consumables and spare parts and ensuring quality at every step. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and play a central role in production planning, team supervision, quality control and customer support on technical and manufacturing queries.

This is an ideal role for a hands-on, technically-minded leader who thrives in a close-knit environment, enjoys variety and is confident supporting both people and processes.

💼 Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire manufacturing process for machines, consumables, and spares.

  • Continuously improve production methods, equipment layout, and workflow efficiency.

  • Drive high standards of quality through testing procedures and process control.

  • Manage and mentor the shop floor team, including technicians and inspectors.

  • Evaluate and plan production schedules, labour requirements, and material costs.

  • Liaise with suppliers and equipment vendors to support manufacturing development.

  • Ensure safety compliance and equipment maintenance.

  • Support customer projects, troubleshooting, and technical discussions.

  • Coordinate with international branches on shared manufacturing initiatives and product development.

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role within a technical or engineering environment.

  • Strong understanding of machinery assembly, production workflows, and quality assurance.

  • A natural problem-solver with excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Comfortable balancing hands-on involvement with strategic oversight.

  • Prior experience working with or managing cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of health & safety standards in manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with production cost estimating and budget management.
