A driven, ambitious and hands on Management Accountant is required to help oversee our rapidly growing UK business. Reporting directly to the Finance & Operations Director, this position will play a pivotal part in our business and may provide a path to becoming out Financial Controller in the future as we continue to grow.
 
BASIC SALARY: £40,000-£50,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Management Accountant - Adhesives, Manufacturing
 
This Management Accountant role will provide a direct support function to the Operations & Finance Director and play a crucial role in providing high quality financial analysis to the wider management team.
 
You will also be responsible for:
· Working closely with the UK management team to understand revenue, margin, and costs
· Monthly journal posting, accrual / prepayment preparation
· Financial analysis and preparation of management information
· Supervising the accounts team (currently 3)
· Timely production of monthly management accounts
· General day to day cashbook, purchase and sales ledger work
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Management Accountant - Adhesives, Manufacturing
 
We would be delighted to receive applications from experienced Accountants, Management Accountants, Finance Business Partners who can confidently engage with our senior management team to provide added value analysis so that actual and forecast performance is clearly understood.
 
You will also:
· Be AAT / CIMA qualified (though strong QBE candidates and PQ will also be considered)
· Have demonstrable experience of working in a Management Accountant or Business Partnering role
· Be hands on and driven with a genuine interest in understanding how the business works
· Be confident in supervising finance staff and want to grow yourself and develop those around you

Established in 1989 we are a distributor of a wide range of technical industrial adhesive solutions including industrial silicones, adhesives, thermal materials, encapsulants, sealants, tapes, seals and gaskets representing a number of premium brands for technically complex applications in automotive, aerospace and defence, electronics and other manufacturing markets.
 
Our three key messages are added value by deep technical knowledge; product customisation; and outstanding customer service.
 
We have doubled in size in the last three years via organic growth and acquisition. In September 2021 we were acquired by a large plc - a very successful and progressive FTSE 100 multinational business who have big plans for us to become a global adhesives distribution platform business within their Controls Sector. Further expansion in Europe and then North America is anticipated via M&A.
 
PROSPECTS:
 
This role would suit an Experienced and hands on Management Accountant, Business Partner or Finance Manager who wishes to utilise their analytical skills and strategic expertise within a UK based distributor of technical products and have the chance to progress into a Financial Controller position.
