The role
As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll ensure that all plant and systems are satisfactorily maintained in accordance with requirements of Health and Safety legislation.
Day-to-day, you’ll have direct responsibility for the direction of Front Line Leaders (FLLs) with industrial staff engaged upon operations and maintenance of plant and equipment.
To ensure the timely and safe release and acceptance back into service of all plant and associated equipment for repair / maintenance work. Safe release of work process to be undertaken at times when the Senior Radioactive Waste Engineer is absent from work To provide technical information and complete the production of concessions and change requests required in support of plant and maintenance activities To report and support investigations into occurrences and incidents within the facility in accordance with company procedures To provide advice on any aspect associated with operation and maintenance of plant and services to the facilities on the licensed and authorised sites To undertake risk assessments for radioactive waste operations and maintenance
This role is full time 35, hours per week provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Manager
Demonstrable experience with the in-depth knowledge required to lead the site operational control team and activity for the plant maintenance function Experience of planning and scheduling maintenance activities, documentation control, works order and contractor control and progress and performance reporting Appreciation, understanding and experience working in a regulated environment. Technical operations relating to nuclear / radiological activities - Desirable Maintenance of facilities and equipment to support industrial activities both nuclear and non-nuclear - Desirable Industrial operations on regulated / licenced sites - Desirable
Qualifications for the Maintenance Manager
Level 4 qualification in relevant subject or equivalent experience within a similar engineering discipline
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
