Due to increased orders, this aerospace manufacturing business in Leicester is on the lookout for two maintenance engineers to enhance the current team. You will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance of a wide variety of CNC machines, tooling and robot cells, no two days are the same, If you are an engineer that likes to be challenged, and learn new skills then this is the role for you. In return you'll be working for a company that values its employee's and offers secure employment. 

The role as a maintenance engineer

Respond to machine breakdowns and facility issues with professionalism and urgency

Develop and support preventative maintenance schedules

Work on continuous improvement projects

Contribute to safety initiatives and facility improvement projects

Work both independently and collaboratively in a shift-based team

Liaise with contractors while ensuring compliance with site policies

Skills and Qualifications required in this Maintenance engineers role

Apprentice trained or a minimum of a level 3 Engineering Qualification

Strong maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with CNC machinery (Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc)

Knowledge of drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics

Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Desirable:

18th Edition wiring regulations

Mechanical skills (e.g., spindle rebuilds, bearing replacements)

Rotating 3-shift pattern:

AM Shift: Mon–Thurs 5:45–13:45, Fri 5:45–10:45

PM Shift: Mon–Thurs 13:45–21:45, Fri 10:45–15:45

Night Shift: Mon–Thurs 21:45–05:45, Fri 15:45–20:45
