Site Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Maintenance Engineer to join the team at an innovative manufacturing company who specialise in blending and supplying renewable fuel products for the transport and marine industry. This entrepreneurial business is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of clean energy solutions and fostering a more sustainable future.

As a Site Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the fuel production terminal. This position offers a unique blend of maintenance and project work, where you will be responsible for ensuring all plant, equipment and facilities are effectively maintained and kept in excellent working condition.

Key Tasks:

Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the functionality of all site systems and processes including; blending, processing, loading, unloading, transferring equipment
Contribute to and lead site improvement projects aimed at enhancing production capabilities
Conduct risk assessments, permit-to-work (PTW) procedures, inspections, and fault finding to ensure the safety of operations and compliance with industry regulations
Regularly perform site checks and servicing tasks to pre-emptively address maintenance issues and maintain high-quality standards
Welding, fabrication and installation
Manage and address equipment defects promptly to prevent disruptions in production
Participate in wider business product and process R&D initiatives
Assist site Operators in their daily tasks as needed, such as loading tankers, processing paperwork, and fuel production, to ensure smooth operations and meet production goalsKey requirements:

Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer
Proven experience of industrial maintenance in a highly regulated environment such as chemical, petrochemical, O&G or similar heavy environment
Experience of welding and fabrication
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork ethic
Strong H&S knowledge, IOSH/NEBOSH - advantageous
