Piper Maddox are supporting an eVTOL business with big plans to shake up the industry and enable a sustainable transition to clean flight. They are developing ground-breaking propulsion technology that is completely unique in its execution. This patented technology has the ability to provide extremely high levels of manoeuvrability whilst operating sustainability. They are currently looking for a Lead Electric Propulsion Systems Engineer to join the team permanently.

What you will be doing:

• Defining and establishing the Electric Propulsion System (Electric Motor, Inverter, Power Distribution, Battery) competence for the business alongside other senior leadership in the business
  
• Analyse current Propulsion technologies in the business and seek improvements where possible
  
• Set a roadmap for the EPS technology over the coming years for various aircraft concepts
  
• Work with suppliers and customers to develop the business eDrive capabilities
  
• Ensure that project documentation is developed currently adhering we company processes and certification standards
  
  What we are looking for:
  
  
• Master's Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  
• 7+ years of professional experience in propulsion system design and electrical machines
  
• Experience or good knowledge of Aerospace certification standards: SC VTOL, SC EHPS, DO 160, DO 178 etc.
  
• Ability to work in agile, collaborative and international environments
  
• Passionate about being a key player in a small sustainable aviation-focused business
