Junior Manufacturing Engineer

£35,000 - £40,000

Days Monday – Friday (4.5 days)

The Role:

As a Junior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring aerospace manufacturing processes are robust, efficient, and aligned with industry standards. You'll support a variety of tasks across production, quality, and process improvement, gaining valuable experience in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Assist in Industrial Validation / PPAP activities for customer projects:

    • Develop and maintain Process Flows, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Capability Studies

  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure process consistency

  • Support the Material Review Board (MRB) by:

    • Reviewing non-conforming parts and issuing dispositions

    • Drafting rework instructions for affected components

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by enhancing assembly processes, documentation, and fixturing

  • Work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ideally EFACS

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, with an understanding of machining processes

  • (Preferable) Familiarity with special processes such as anodising and non-destructive testing (NDT)

    What will you bring to the party?

  • Experience with PPAP and industrial validation processes

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (EFACS highly preferred)

  • Hands-on exposure to a manufacturing or engineering environment

  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
