    Are you an IT Systems Engineer or IT Engineer or Cloud Support Engineer or IT Support Engineer looking for a role with lots of flexibility – work from home most of the time (if you prefer) and flexible working hours. We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer with a strong background of cloud infrastructures.

    The company develop and produce industry leading data acquisition, automation and data management software platforms and applications used within engineering research and development environments to automate the testing of fuel cells, batteries, engines, propulsion systems and other advanced technology systems.

    Your background as an IT Systems Engineer:

  • You will be able to demonstrate experience of cloud infrastructures. The company use Microsoft Azure but this is not essential – experience with other cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud is fine.

  • Experience of Windows and Linux server administration.

  • Experience of administrating Microsoft Windows Desktop, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint etc…

  • A good grasp of IT security principles.

  • Knowledge of networking, routing, switches, VPNs etc…

  • You will hold a professional qualification in an IT, Computer Systems or similar technical discipline.

    IT Systems Engineer responsibilities:

  • The company operates may different IT systems, ranging from software development platform specific systems, cloud infrastructure, an extensive on-premises VMware based virtual infrastructure, and generic back-office IT solutions.

  • Administration of servers and Kubernetes orchestrated containerised software deployments in Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

  • Administration of Microsoft Azure DevOps development environment.

  • Linux server provisioning and support.

  • VMware infrastructure support.

  • Microsoft Windows Server administration.

  • Laptop and desktop computer hardware support
