Site H&S Co-Ordinator

Sefton, Merseyside

Are you passionate about creating safer workplaces, protecting the environment and making a real impact every single day? We are looking for a proactive and hands-on H&S Coordinator to be the heart of health, safety and environmental efforts at a dynamic manufacturing site in Merseyside.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a H&S professional to join a UK pharmaceutical manufacturer. The company emphasises meaningful work with a clear purpose: manufacturing quality products to meet global healthcare needs.

This is a standalone role, giving you the autonomy and visibility to own EHS on-site-ideal for someone who's ready to step up, shape policy and lead with purpose.

Key Tasks:

In this multifaceted position, you will be the go-to person for all things health and safety, balancing both operational duties and strategic compliance work.

Be the guardian of safety by identifying risks and driving compliance with all local and national EHS regulations.
Create, implement and promote site safety guidelines, training materials and awareness initiatives.
Lead and support investigations into near misses and incidents, ensuring lessons are learned and shared.
Coordinate and carry out site safety inspections, audits, and follow-ups.
Prepare the site for regulatory inspections, ensuring everything is audit-ready.
Maintain up-to-date logs, reports, and EHS documentation ensuring compliance.
Report and analyse safety metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Manage and optimise waste handling and environmental compliance as part of the sustainability mission.
Champion ISO certification processes, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.Requirements:

A motivated H&S professional with experience of EHS coordination, health & safety or environmental compliance, within a manufacturing environment.
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certification preferred.
Solid knowledge of UK H&S legislation and environmental regulations.
Someone confident working independently, capable of setting priorities and influencing change at all levels.
