An excellent opportunity has arisen for a High Voltage Electrician to join a well stablished, industry leading contractor working within the water industry. Covering around the Yorkshire region, you will be working mobile Monday - Friday undertaking the following.

Duties will include installation, maintenance and commissioning of the following:

Motor control centres Pump installations Actuator installations Level and pressure control Telemetry Inspection and testing Oil-water interceptors Servelec programming MEICA equipment

The Electrical Technician must fully understand the normal operations of the plant and be conversant with the individual systems which make process safety.
Key responsibilities

Oversight of technical standards and quality assurance. The Job holder should be apprentice trained and must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Electrical inspection and repair work in a heavy industrial environment preferably involving High Voltage work and fault finding. The Job holder is required to work as part of a team, where Team members must be able to understand safe working procedures and apply recognised safety practices, to each task they are undertaking and ensure other team members behave accordingly. Team members must be self-motivated and highly flexible. They are required to work unsupervised and deliver a first-class customer service in accordance with departmental goals and Key performance indicators.


A working knowledge of the following:

HV & LV Networks, Circuit Breakers, and Protection Equipment Transformers Earthing Systems HV & LV Permit to Work Systems Electrical testing methods and fault-finding skills. The job holder should have a methodical approach to work, with attention to detail and accuracy when completing inspection paperwork, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, and effective verbal communication. A current driving license is essential.
