Job Summary
A Technical Electrician will assist with the planning and implementing of electrical needs of the Aviation Repair facility. A Technical Electrician will support the achievements of the sites business goals, needs, and objectives. Functions include, but not limited to: Installing equipment using hand and power tools; constructs foundations; aligns machines; assist with facilities power readings; breaker box assembly; performing scheduled inspection and maintenance on machinery and facilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Creates facility lay out plan to accommodate the electrical needs of the production equipment.
• Assembling and set up electrical power layout and controls to support the required production equipment’s needs.
• Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions
• Installs equipment using hand and power tools; constructs foundations; aligns machines; performs scheduled inspection and maintenance.
• Maintains and repairs plant facilities and building. Reads and interprets blueprints, electrical schematics, and manuals.
• Moves, installs, wires, runs conduit to electrical boxes and machinery to set-up equipment. Assists others to install new and used equipment and to construct new projects
• Troubleshoots various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing problems, repairs as necessary, and maintains log of all repairs performed
• Orders necessary parts and service for plant machinery repair and performs required testing for plant systems in the absence of the maintenance lead person
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diplomas or GED Equivalent
• 4+ years of experience using a volt meter to check for presence of voltage (0-480VAC) and basic electronics, electrical/electronic training, basic computer repair
• 2+ years of experience with motor control circuits, contactors, VFDs, servos and 3 phase motor setup and troubleshooting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• GKN Experience
• Machine Certifications
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic devices and their operation
• Able to use precision measuring tools (dial caliper, depth micrometer, dial indicator, wire gauge, to 0.0001
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, climb, reach at or above shoulder level, and kneel
• Occasionally must squat, balance, work at heights, and push or pull wheeled items weighing 350 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds independently or up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Repetitive actions include simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation and lifting
• Regular exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, and marked changes in temperature and humidity
Compensation Range
The compensation is between $35.00 - $38.00 per hour.
