Are you a Health and Safety Coordinator committed to upholding the highest standards in health, safety, and environmental management? Do you want to work with a company who are rapidly growing and are looking to double in size over the next 5 years?

We're partnering with CAV Systems, who are looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator, on a Part Time basis (3-4 days per week). CAV Systems are a well established aerospace organisation, and their Ice Protection System is trusted to keep aircraft safe in the harshest conditions! They're now looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join the growing team, as they continue to revolutionalise aerospace technology!

Key Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Coordinator

  • Support the building of a robust culture of compliance to all procedures and processes across CAV Systems. Help drive and maintain the continual improvement of employee health, safety and welfare as well as environmental management through communication, promotion and development.

  • Assist management with responsibility for safety matters in the discharge of their responsibilities. Understand and advise on current H&S legislation, guidance and best practice.

  • Facilitate and coordinate policy development and maintenance.

  • Provide hands on support regarding risk reduction activities. Facilitate risk assessment activity and give guidance to others on the completion of risk assessments. Input into the production of safe systems of work.

  • Manage compliance audit process and support timely close-out of non-conformances.

  • Provide management information in a suitable format which allows ease of analysis and determination of root cause.

  • Provide health and safety input as required into capital and operational expenditure projects.

  • Facilitate the arrangement of training for staff in all relevant areas of HSE, including first aid, fire control & associated / other procedures.

  • Provide support in investigations of incidents/accidents, near misses and other breaches of compliance. Proactively defend personal injury claims to reduce insurance premiums and losses to the business.

    What We’re Looking For: Health and Safety Coordinator

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • A confident communicator who can influence at every level.

  • Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

  • Experience with safety and compliance systems.

  • Passion for sustainability and environmental protection.
