Electronics Assembly Facilities Coordinator – Space Sector

Are you a skilled Technician or Engineer who would be excited to move into a role managing electronics assembly facilities in the space and satellite sector.
We are seeking a technician or engineer with BTEC OND/ONC/ NVQ in electrical/electronic or general engineering or similar, to join a cutting-edge team, manufacturing components for next-generation spacecraft systems in Guildford. Previous facilities management experience is not essential, you just need to be motivated, organised and keen to progress a career within the space industry.
Duties include:

Management and maintenance of loading bay, Cleanroom, bridges and AIT containers
Spacecraft thermal chamber use
Planned maintenance co-ordination with facilities team
Ensure all outside contractors are supervised & aware of Cleanroom procedures
Allocation and maintenance of storage areas for flight hardware
Transfer of equipment to & from offsite storage
Inventory of equipment
Efficient management of storage – disposal of obsolete equipment
Co-ordinate Test equipment and Torque tool calibration
Point of contact for:
Lifting equipment inspections
Facility servicing and maintenance
Monitor & replenish clean room consumables, tool kits and ESD protection
Health & Safety monitoring and records:
Ensure work areas are safe and tidy and best working practices are followed in CleanroomExperience required:

Experience working within a Cleanroom, electronics assembly or engineering laboratory environment or similar
Electrical lab technician, wireman or mechanical apprenticeship would be useful
Experience with general machine shop tooling would be useful
Maintaining risk assessments within a manufacturing environment
Any experience working with COSHH, Lifting Equipment, Pressure Systems and Gas Safety Regulations is desirable
BTEC OND/ONC/ NVQ in electrical/electronic or general engineering or similar, although proven experience in a similar role will also be considered
Prepared to work irregular hours and weekends during peak times
Ability to perform some heavy lifting
Full, clean driving licence
Forklift driving certification desirable but not essential
Radio controlled overhead crane operation certification but not essentialBenefits:
