The Role – Senior Design Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Senior Design Engineer to join a prominent aerospace engineering business in Gloucestershire.

In this role you’ll be working in the NPI team to create conceptual and detail design to support the development of Assemblies and systems. 

You’ll be experienced in DFM with a firm understanding of different manufacturing principles and processes including machining and assembly.

You’ll be joining an energetic team in a purpose-built modern facility where you’ll be able to make a real impact to the future of the business.

Duties – Senior Design Engineer

Design of mechanical components and assemblies related to hydraulic systems.
Design for NPI programmes and strategic improvement initiatives.
Design of assembly and test tooling.
CAD and drawing creation including.
Undertaking design calculations and tolerance stack analysis.
Design approvals and drawing reviews/signoffs

Background – Senior Design Engineer

Apprenticeship + HNC, HND, or Degree
Conceptual and detail design skillset.
Mechanical part and assembly design experience.
Experience of working with a design CAD package e.g. Siemens NX
Understanding of manufacturing/machining processes
DFMA, DFMEA, Drawing creation, GD&T experience
