The Company

As a proven market leader in the commercial and industrial packaging world, this well established and highly profitable organisation is seeking to augment their leadership team with a dedicated and experienced Head of Sales. This addition to their established commercial team will be responsible for leading new business development as well as developing the established key accounts across the organisation to achieve strong growth across the organisation over the next 5 years in line with the defined business strategy and extensive investment program.

The Role

The role of the Head of Sales will be responsible for leading and motivating a dedicated team of commercial team leaders, new business executives and dedicated customer account managers to develop and maximise the relationships and revenue generation across their impressive portfolio of UK based clients while exploiting all avenues of new business generation.

The Head of Sales will transform the strategic targets or the business into tangible budgets and sales targets and will be responsible for the achievement of these across the commercial function as a whole. Recruitment, development and retention of sales and commercial staff will be a high priority as will the promotion of the company and its products and services to the customer network with an active sales presence from this person to the customer base and wider market.

The Person

As an experienced and proven Sales and Commercial lead, you will have demonstrable experience in the packaging space and will understand the requirements and legislation surrounding this growing and dynamic sector. You will have proven experience in the leading and managing sales teams and commercial targets / budgets and will be able to translate strategic plans into deployable targets and goals across a team in order to deliver best in class results and maximise both sales and profitability.

You will be a driven and successful Sales Manager / Head of Sales and will thrive in a customer facing role and have a desire to develop and win new business across existing and new customers.
