Gear Cutting Machinist

£16-£21/hour (Overtime available)

Gear Cutting Machinist is required to join a high-performing team producing precision components for the aerospace and automotive sectors. Whether you're already a skilled machinist or want to level up, the team offer excellent training, modern machines, and a supportive work environment.

Relocation package is offered for the right candidate!

Working hour:

Day Shift (Monday to Thursday 6:30-15:15, Fri 6:00-13:00)Main Responsibilities:

Operate gear-cutting machines to produce high-quality, precision components.
Perform machine setups and tool changes within standard timeframes.
Work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Load and clamp components securely for cutting operations.
Apply deburring techniques as per spec.
Use inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges) to check quality and dimensions.
Operate multiple machines simultaneously when feasible.
Complete in-process inspections and ensure products meet the highest standards.
Support continuous improvement and problem-solving on the shop floor.
Collaborate with team members and assist where needed.
Maintain health & safety and quality compliance at all times.Requirements:

2-3 years of experience in a similar machining or manufacturing role.
Confident using measuring tools and reading technical drawings.
Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
Experience with problem-solving and continuous improvement practices.
A proactive mindset and great team spirit.
Willingness to learn and adapt-training will be provided!
