W Talent are extremely delighted to be supporting a leading and highly respected aerospace manufacturing company based in Hucknall, North Nottingham who are looking to hire a Facilities Engineer. There are two open positions working for this innovative organisation is renowned for delivering world-class technology solutions to customers within the Aerospace industry.

Purpose of the Role

As part of the Facilities team, the Facilities Engineer will be responsible for a variety of building and grounds maintenance tasks, as well as supporting the delivery of a wide range of site projects. The role requires a proactive, reactive, and preventative approach to facilities maintenance, ensuring the upkeep of site infrastructure, welfare provisions, and grounds.

The Facilities Engineer must follow company protocols and processes, uphold a strong health and safety culture, and maintain a good understanding of current compliance, legislation, and safety systems, ensuring all documentation is up to date for audit purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain all external site grounds, including yards, footpaths, roads, and drainage.
Organise and oversee waste and recycling management, ensuring compliance with correct usage and disposal.
Liaise with waste and recycling providers to schedule collections.
Manage deliveries and transfers of chemical products between sites.
Operate company vehicles for deliveries and collections as required.
Maintain outside storage areas, including containers and waste transfer stations.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly compliance checks, including gas and water meter readings, fire extinguisher checks, and lighting inspections, ensuring correct reporting through the CMMS.
Liaise with and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
Support contractors in construction, renovation, and maintenance tasks while ensuring adherence to company HSE requirements.
Plan and execute winter services outside of contractual agreements.
Ensure all welfare facilities and site infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.
Conduct building inspections to identify and report required repairs and maintenance using CMMS.
Perform general electrical maintenance, including fixture replacements, testing, and thermal imaging surveys.
Carry out plumbing maintenance and installations.
Perform painting, carpentry, and masonry work as needed.
Install, reposition, and reconfigure modular office furniture to optimise space usage
Engage with both workforce and management to support facility needs.Specialist Maintenance Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on the compressed air system.
Maintain external and internal process water cooling systems.
Perform maintenance on the effluent treatment plant.
Conduct environmental checks on the storm pond.
Monitor and report on gas farm integrity, ensuring defects and incidents are addressed promptly.
Maintain and perform critical checks on chemical showers.Key Competencies
