You will be working from our clients premises in Chesterfield and reporting to the Lead Export Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating gross profit through developing, negotiating and administrating new and repeat business with customers within the Aerospace market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of sales strategy and forecast

• Focus on maintaining and developing established customer relationships.

• Receive incoming sales enquiries and respond with quotations or information relating to outstanding sales and/or service

• Supervise key activities for all allocated customers inc. Sales, OTD, forecast and stock provisioning, problem solving, system development.

• Meet or exceed the gross profit target from each allocated customer.

• Provide a daily direct link to customers ensuring customer focus and service is maintained by meetings/reviews with customers.

• To continually monitor market dynamics and trends, recognising areas of opportunity or risk within the export sales area and acting upon them.

• Maximise potential from new and existing accounts to meet sales and gross profit targets.

• Work with Operations, Accounts and Purchasing Departments to ensure orders are completed as required.

• Prepare and submit administration as required to ensure payment is received to agreed terms.

• Make occasional visits to customers in their respective countries as the business needs.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience gained in an export sales environment focusing on Aerospace metals.

• Outstanding communication and people development skills.

• Experience in developing relationships with and negotiating with customers and suppliers

• Excellent product, market and industry knowledge.

• Commercial awareness.

• Self-motivated with considerable ability to work under own initiative.

• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

• Attention to detail.

• Administration and contract management skills.

• Focused understanding of customer care and after sales service.

• Basic understanding of the commercial and financial running of the business.

• Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications essential.
