Salary: Up to £42,000

If you’re an experienced, self-motivated electrician looking for a varied role, then this could be the job for you. The successful candidate will benefit from exposure to a variety of works on all elements of domestic electrics, smart home, and renewable technologies. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills through enhanced training programs. Our busy customer care department is growing and thriving allowing for opportunities for career progression in the future.

The successful applicant will cover the Trowbridge branch, you will be visiting occupied homes to investigate and fix faults. Putting things right will of course be an important aim of the job but you’ll also need to provide a professional, friendly service for homeowners as their experience really matters to us.

Our office-based team will coordinate your appointments, but you’ll also take the lead in resolving issues over the phone whenever possible. We are committed to supporting your work-life balance and encourage a flexible and efficient approach to help you maintain it while delivering a high standard of service.

We’ll supply you with a VW Transporter van and all the equipment you’ll need, including an iPad for accessing technical information.

Responsibilities

Visit customers’ homes to rectify faults

Installing late extras and alterations to circuits within occupied homes

Providing full reports for each completed job, with details of any corrective actions taken.

Complete quality audit reports where required.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience of domestic electrical work

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation

AM2

City & Guilds 2382 (relevant 17th Edition or 18th Edition) and 2391 or 2395 (desirable)

JIB Gold card

Full UK manual driving licence

Experience of heating systems, TV Satellite, Alarms, MVHR, MEV, ventilation systems and door entry would be advantageous however full training will be provided.

Calm and logical approach to fault-finding

Ability to carry out repairs to hidden wiring and install additional cables, with the minimum of disturbance

Strong organisational skills

Excellent people and communication skills
