The Electrical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of electrical projects within the organization. This role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure that all electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities


  • Plan, execute, and oversee electrical projects from start to finish.
  • Work with stakeholders to plan and manage electrical projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Labour resource management, resourcing / release
  • Generate electrical installation estimates / tenders for project specific electrical activities.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of electrical teams (Project managers, contract managers, site managers, supervisors).
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop individual development plans for team members.
  • Ensure the team follows all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Serve as the final point of contact for clients regarding project updates and issues.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to understand the scope and any potential challenges.
  • Identify all necessary materials and equipment.
  • Designing electrical systems and components that meet industry standards and specific project requirements.
  • Integrating electrical systems with other engineering systems to ensure seamless operation and efficiency.
  • Ensuring all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

Skills and Experience


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance and project management within the FMCG manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record of managing electrical projects and leading teams.
  • Proven Experience in managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment used in the Food Manufacturing industry including control panel fabrication and software integration.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  • In depth understanding of 2391 Inspection and Testing requirements
  • In depth NICEIC requirements and understanding

Specific Qualifications

  • 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • HNC electrical and electronic engineering or above
  • Completed apprenticeship Engineering / Installation
  • Project management
  • SSSTS / SMSTS
