Why Rolls-Royce?

Our Submarines business is expanding and opened a new office based in Glasgow in which we are looking for Engineers across multiple engineering disciplines.

As we continue to support the Royal Navy as the technical authority to the UK Ministry of Defence for naval reactor plants, we’re also growing our submarine and nuclear sector capabilities.

As part of this we are looking for a number of people with a strong background in Digital and Data Engineering.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you’ll be doing:

You will help us to simplify complex processes, create an interface between our heritage, our legacy systems, and the modern technology landscape, and equip our people with the skills and tools to enable them to do most efficient and effective job they can.

By focusing on digital user experiences, you will be creating a culture of efficient, streamlined and reliable delivery for all our customers, as well as being recognised as the thought-leader in Digital.

Be qualified to degree level or equivalent in STEM-related subjects Be able to provide clear, concise and accurate technical requirements in written and verbal form. Have excellent communication skills and be highly driven, striving to maintain excellent delivery performance.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
