Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Lead Design Engineer or Head of Design Office (HDO) in preparing technical evaluations based on customer requests, determining required man-hours and technical data, and identifying potential obstacles impacting project timelines or manpower.
Share expertise and guide Design Engineers on acceptable compliance methods for cabin safety/interior changes.
Verify compliance of technical documents related to Cabin Safety and Interiors (Panel 11).
Ensure that released changes include applicable Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and verify compliance with relevant airworthiness regulations (e.g., 25.1529).
Oversee the preparation of test plans and reports to ensure compliance with Certification Specifications (CS), Operational Suitability Data (OSD), environmental protection standards, and completeness. Approve the release of these documents.
Approve the release of Engineering/Service Bulletins, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards, environmental protection, and Part 21J requirements.
Prepare and check technical reports and certification documents to demonstrate compliance with CS/JAR 25 requirements, in line with Part 21J regulations.
Support project management by ensuring schedules and budgets are met and provide regular updates to the HDO and Head of Airworthiness (HOA).

Job Requirements:

Experience in Part 21J, specifically in Cabin Safety/Interiors at a Design Approval Organisation.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Experience with various minor design modifications, such as emergency equipment layout changes, livery adjustments, placard applications (internal/external), and certification/installation of textile and non-textile components (e.g., curtains, carpets).
Experience with cabin refurbishment and seat layout changes (LOPA changes), including 9G and 16G seat modifications.
Knowledge and experience in seat refurbishment and modifications, including changes to seat covers, cushions, and plastic parts, along with flammability property re-assessment.
Familiarity with cabin Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) changes and the STC process.
Strong knowledge of common Cabin Safety-related requirements for CS/JAR/FAR 25, including but not limited to 25.562, 25.601, 25.785, 25.791, 25.803, 25.811, 25.812, 25.813, 25.815, 25.853, 25.1411, 25.1413, 25.1415, 25.1441, 25.1439, 25.1529, 25.1541, 25.1561.
Familiarity with standard aircraft documentation, including TC holder specifications, OSD, and original drawings and parts lists from TC holders (e.g., Boeing and Airbus).
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is a plus).
Ability to prepare technical design documentation in accordance with Part 21J requirements, such as drawings, Service Bulletins, compliance documents, technical reports, and publication supplements.
Proficiency in identifying alternative acceptable means of compliance (AMC) for certifying various interior components.
