We currently have an opening for a talented Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for lean / Continuous Improvement to be based at our manufacturing facility supporting key projects.

As a result of our ongoing success, we are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to undertake a pivotal role in support of manufacturing operations.

The focus of this position is lean / continuous improvements to achieve increased production output across our assembly and manufacturing operations. There is considerable opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in lean / six sigma / continuous improvements to make a real tangible difference within manufacture.

This is a role making positive, hands on incremental changes through shop floor presence rather than at a strategic, hands off level.

Key accountabilities will include:

Utilising your technical acumen to identify areas for change and then manage the implementation of these initiatives through to successful introduction.
Standardising work instructions, look at ways to reduce change over time on equipment, simplify component assembly
Identify cost saving opportunities and bottlenecks to reduce cycle time and improve overall effectiveness using Continuous Improvement / Lean Six Sigma tools
Work with the manufacturing teams to optimise the production lines and simplify assembly and manufacture.
Identify cost saving opportunities using Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools 
Drive, Support, train on and facilitate Lean Six Sigma activities providing engineering resource for Kaizen and Lean Projects.
To succeed in interesting and varied role you will ideally have:

Proven Production Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering experience within a mechanical manufacturing or assembly manufacturing environment,
A working knowledge of lean tools and initiatives such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, DFM, SPC, 5S, FMEA's etc.
Experience in a highly regulated industry such as medical, automotive, aerospace or similarIn return you will be rewarded with a real platform to deliver tangible results, and a high degree of autonomy
