What
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Tooling Design Engineer to help our client’s drive for innovation and excellence. Ideally based on site at our client's brilliant facility in Melton Mowbray but remote/hybrid opportunities are available for those design engineers who posses their own license.
Role responsibilities: –

  • Design and develop tooling for composite manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and production teams to ensure tooling meets design specifications and production requirements.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed tooling designs and drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues during production.
  • Continuously improve tooling designs to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Experience of working to ISO 9001 certification standards.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.

    Required Key Skills: –
  • Proven experience in tooling design, preferably within the composites industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX).
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
    Schedule
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am – 5pm
  • Flexibility Required at certain times to meet business requirements
  • Hybrid and remote options available for those possessing own licenses
