Resin Technology Research Engineer- Aircraft Composites- China.
Our Aerospace client based in Shanghai, China, are looking to appoint a Resin Technology Research Engineer, to be engaged on their aerospace programs in Shanghai.
This will be a long term role. Fixed term contracts will be offered to the successful candidate. If you are interested to live and work in Asia, this opportunity will allow that to happen with plenty of time to explore this region, its culture and customs.
Job responsibilities:
Responsible for the development of epoxy resin for aviation, including resin formula design, resin and prepreg optimization, R&D experimental plan design, experimental plan execution, etc., to ensure that the materials meet aviation requirements.
Responsible for the feasibility study and risk identification of supplier resin formula changes, material development, material modification, troubleshooting, solution design and implementation, etc., in response to the demand for composite materials for model work.
Responsible for basic research work such as mechanism analysis, structural characterization, and structural design for epoxy resin and prepreg
Responsible for designing and planning the future R&D direction and development route of epoxy resin based on the current status and model requirements of aviation composite materials, and conducting research and judgment on various technical routes, planning and executing implementation plans.Qualifications:
Master's degree or above, PhD preferred.
Polymer, materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, aerospace related majors preferred.
More than 8 years of professional experience in resins and prepregs, with aviation background and carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin R&D experience preferred.
In-depth understanding of the mechanism, design, preparation, etc. of epoxy formula resins and prepregs, with corresponding experimental design and execution capabilities, and the ability to conduct independent research work.
Good communication skills, logical thinking skills, analytical skills, oral and written expression skills, academic reading and writing skills in English.Candidates who are willing to live and work in Shanghai, China for 1 -3 years initial contract are invited to apply
