Global engineering technology business require a Senior Contracts Officer. Applicants need commercial, contracts or legal experience, ideally within a B2B setting (defence, IT/Technology preferred) and a law degree or legal qualification

The Senior Contracts Officer will join a large commercial team and be responsible for day-to-day commercial contract management and administration tasks, across the entire commercial contract lifecycle. An exciting end-to-end commercial contracts role, the Senior Contracts Officer will support new/existing contracts and programmes from bid/tender stage, negotiation, day-to-day contract management through-life and close out.

Specific duties of the Senior Contracts Officer include:

Support commercial input into bids and proposals
Review (red line) new and existing customer/supplier contracts - key clauses, spot opportunities, mitigate risk etc.
Support commercial contract negotiations with customers and suppliers
Provide contractual advice to colleagues in engineering, sales, bids, procurement etc.
Maintain contract database, customer and supplier records

Senior Contracts Officer applicants should meet the following criteria:

Previous experience with contracts, commercial, sales, procurement, or legal agreements
Previous experience within a engineering or technology business, aerospace, automotive, defence etc.
Ability to identify commercial opportunities and risks/commercial acumen
Collaborative, relationship builder
LLB, LLM, IACCM, GDL, LPC would be advantageous
Comfortable with a hybrid working arrangement
