Job Title: CNC Turner Setter

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Location: Aldershot

Hours: Mon – Thurs 6:00am-3:15pm / Fri 6am-1pm

Pay: £16-£18ph DOE

Main Purpose of Job:
The role will involve setting and operating various machinery (including CNC, Mazak, etc.), to set up and prepare materials and tooling for upcoming jobs, working from engineering drawings to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Set and operate CNC turning and turn/mill machines – Mazak (Smooth C, G and X)
⦁ Change machine setting from one job to another within a set time frame;
⦁ Ability to read and understand programs;
⦁ Able to use micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets
⦁ Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards
⦁ Deal with technical queries where possible, as and when required
⦁ Support colleagues by assisting with other duties when required, to aid the smooth running of the Company
⦁ Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company;
⦁ Be punctual at all times
⦁ Report any issues to the Unit Manager or Supervisor asap;
⦁ Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required.

Skills and Qualifications/experience:
⦁ Qualification in engineering or similar field.
⦁ 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar industry/role.
⦁ The ability to use a range of measuring equipment.
⦁ Good math and technical skills.
⦁ Knowledge and experience of systematic problem solving.
⦁ Be proactive and a great team player.
⦁ To be a quick learner and adaptable to change.
⦁ Have excellent attention to detail.
⦁ Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines.
