CAD / CAM CNC Turner Programmer
About the Role
Our client are an AS9100 accredited company and have been providing forward thinking, modern precision engineering for decades. They specialise in motorsport (F1), aerospace, and medical precision engineering.
They are now seeking an experienced CAD / CAM CNC Turner programmer due to on-going growth. The ideal candidate will be seeking a career progression and a strong team player.
This role will require a highly skilled individual that can manage the planning, resources (people and tooling) and providing strong technical support to their team for the work flowing through production, their communication skills should be excellent. Quality is at the core of client business therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to understand and follow quality requirements within their team at all times. The successful candidate will need to be dynamic and hands-on in their role to enable the demanding delivery requirements to be met, therefore, they will be expected to understand their workload at all times and communicate with the Production Manager when required.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ability to program, set and run CNC Turning machines
  • Ensuring consistent quality
  • Ensuring delivery dates are met (including operational steps within the workflow prior to delivery)
  • Providing technical support (liaising internally or with customers regarding technical aspects)
  • Managing a team
    Qualifications and Skills
  • Read technical drawings
  • CAD / CAM essential
  • Extensive experience in milling is essential
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills – forward thinking approach
  • Team player
  • Using CMM / Optical scanners
  • Computer-literate
