CNC TURNER MAZAK PROGRAMMER - £60,000+

Salary: Up to £47,817,00 Contracted + 10/12h weekly overtime 1.5x
Sector: Precision Engineering
Location: Bournemouth Area
Full Time: Monday - Friday - 40h a week + Overtime guaranteed.

I am looking for a CNC Turner Mazak Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering company specialising in high-quality components for highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport (F1), Naval and Precision Engineering. They work within a modern, well-equipped machine shop with advanced CNC Mazak lathes, producing components in varying batch sizes, from one-offs to medium and large-scale production.

CNC Turner Mazak Programmer Duties:

  • Programming, Setting, Changing off-sets and Operating CNC Lathes using Mazatrol/Mazak controls.
  • Work with a wide range of materials, including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, composites and exotic alloys.
  • Produce components to tight tolerances for industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport F1, Naval & Precision Engineering.
  • Optimise machining processes, adjusting speeds, feeds, and tooling for maximum efficiency.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finishes.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality control and ensure components meet Aerospace industry standards.

    CNC Turner Mazak Programmer Requirements:

  • Proven experience in programming Mazatrol/Mazak CNC Lathes.
  • Ability to work on one-offs, small batches, and medium-large production runs with high precision demands.
  • Previous Experience working in industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport (F1), Naval or high-precision engineering is essential.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tool selection, and work-holding methods.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Programming offline using Auto-Cad/SolidEdge or hyperMILLS and some offline duties to work out toolpaths and calculations of drawing geometry (DESIRABLE)
