Based in Aldershot, Hampshire, our client offers high-quality precision prototyping CNC machining and assembly services to the UK market. They specialise in the Aerospace, Defence, Formula 1 and Petrochemical industries.

Their key strengths include computer-aided machining, rapid prototyping, and 5 axis work. Offering a full range of services, with the ability to machine directly from 3D CAD files to finite tolerances – backed by full CMM inspection – through to finishing, assembly, and despatch.

They use the latest, state of the art equipment and software to ensure machining and manufacturing departments are operating at the highest standards.

JOB ROLE: CNC Turner

JOB TYPE: Permanent

OPENING HOURS: Monday to Thursday (7 AM until 5:30 PM) & Friday (7 AM until 1 PM) WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week – Flexible (As long as you complete your 40 hours within the opening hours).

OVERTIME: Overtime is consistently available and is paid at time-and-a-half.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Programming, setting, and running Doosan Puma CNC lathe, and Goodway’s CNC lathes, using Fanuc controls, with live tooling.

• Producing precision machined components to tight tolerances, for a range of industries, including Aerospace, Defence, Formula 1, and more.

• Working from detailed technical engineering drawings.

• Ensure all manufactured components meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

• Work closely with the engineering team to optimise processes and meet production deadlines.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during machining.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a CNC turning position within a precision machining environment is required.

• Previous experience programming using Fanuc controls is required

  • Ideally working on 3 axis machinery with live tooling “C” axis (X,Z,C

    • Previous experience with live tooling is desirable.

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

    • Commitment to adhering to workplace safety standards and practices.

    • Demonstrated ability to work with precision and maintain high-quality standards.

    HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT: 26 days per year + all bank holidays (35 days in total) + Christmas shutdown
