Aerospace CNC machinist (Turning)

You have the opportunity to apply for a CNC Turner role with an organisation that produces highly intricate components and assemblies for the Space, Military Aerospace and Life Science markets. This company are renowned for their quality and staff retention, the successful candidate will enjoy continuous training and development as they remain up to date with the latest technologies.

Based in Huddersfield, this company is easily commutable from Wakefield, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax and Barnsley.

The CNC Turner will be responsible for:

Setting up and operating various lathes
Editing and adjusting programmes at the machine where required using Fanuc controls - it is not essential to have Fanuc experience
Producing intricate components for use in quality critical markets such as Space and Military Aerospace
Machining small components to tolerances within 5 microns (0.005mm / 0.19 thou) - training will be provided to get this this level of accuracy
In-process inspection using CMM and various hand measuring instruments
For the CNC Turner role, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

Previous experience working as a Machinist within a high precision machine shop environment
The ability to understand and edit programmes (ISO or conversational)
Willingness to undergo internal training and development to get up to speed on internal processes and machining strategies in order to independently achieve the level of quality required
Working Hours of the CNC Turner:
Double-day shifts working 38 hours per week - 19% average allowance

AM Shift: 5% Shift allowance - Monday to Thursday - 6:30 to 14:45 / Friday - 6:30 to 11:30
PM Shift: 33% Shift allowance - Monday to Thursday - 14:15 to 22:30 / Friday - 11:00 to 16:00
Benefits & Package of the CNC Turner:

Annual Salary: Up to £41,650.00 including shift allowance
Holiday Entitlement: 30 days (including public holidays)
Combined pension contribution up to 19%
Various Bonuses: Merit bonuses paid on specific achievements, 5% profile share (post tax) and attendance bonus (3 extra holidays awarded for 100% attendance)
