Aerospace CNC machinist (Turning)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner with expertise in programming, setting and operting to join our aerospace team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and operating 2-axis and multi-axis lathes, with a focus on precision engineering for industries such as aerospace.

Key Responsibilities:

CNC Programming: Develop programs for CNC 2 & 3-axis lathes with live tooling using Fanuc controls to ensure precise and efficient machining.
Machine Setup & Production: Set up machines and produce initial components, ensuring they meet all specifications and tolerances.
Multi-Machine Operation: Operate multiple CNC lathes as required to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.
Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks using precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet exact tolerances, including both Metric and Imperial measurements.
Grinding & Gear Cutting: Handle grinding and gear cutting tasks, ensuring flawless finishes and adherence to tight tolerances.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production processes and adjustments made to machinery.Experience & Skills:

Extensive experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating 2-axis and multi-axis lathes (Fanuc controls).
Proven ability to achieve high precision with tight tolerances of up to 0.008mm.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Experience working with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
Strong background in the aerospace industry or similar high-precision manufacturing environments.
Ability to work with both Metric and Imperial measurements.
Strong computer literacy and a methodical, detail-oriented approach to work
