My client in Leighton Buzzard is currently in need of a CNC Turner due to continous expansion.Are you a skilled CNC Turner searching for a position with a reputable and well-established local manufacturer? Do you thrive in precision engineering, possess a strong grasp of the turning process, and excel at maintaining tight tolerances and superior surface finishes? My client is a long-standing company specialising in the production of high-quality, low-volume tubular and threaded parts for sectors such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Defense.Experience Required * Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines. * Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision. * Also, editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds. * Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment. * Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals. * Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances. * Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards. * Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous. * Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment. * Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running. * Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will also be provided.Package and Benefits: * The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available. * Hours are Monday – Wednesday 4.30pm – 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm – 1.30am. * Holidays are 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas Period * Government Pension Scheme * Health Care Scheme * Excellent working conditions * Free Onsite ParkingSalary: £40 - £49k – (Including night shift premium)Location: Leighton BuzzardPlease respond with an up to date CV to be considered
