CNC Miller - Setter / Operator - Day Shift

Location: Clacton on Sea, Essex
Salary: Up to £42,600 PA, depending on experience, plus overtime rates

Choice of working a 4-day or 5-day week:

Mon - Wed - 07:30 - 18:00 and Thurs 07:30 - 17:00
Or Mon - Thurs - 07:30 - 16:30 and Fri 07:30 - 12:30
Working Hours - 39 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join this long established and respected precision engineering company that serves the Marine, Automotive, Aerospace, Food and Medical sectors.

As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills to produce high-precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Key Tasks:

Set up and run CNC Mills, ensuring adherence to quality and work procedures.
Operate additional machinery when required, in accordance with company guidelines.
Inspect your own work and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
Update tooling sheets and record cycle times.
Assist fellow setter/operators in improving efficiency and processes.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Ensure strict compliance with health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

Proficient in operating various CNC machines and controls.
Understanding tool and material capabilities to ensure efficient operations.
Ability to inspect your own work.
Team player.
Engineering apprenticeship (advantageous).
Previous experience in a similar role.
