JRS Associates have partnered up with a well-established manufacturing business Leicester to recruit a skilled CNC Grinder – Setter / Operator for their night shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a precision engineering company supplying high-quality components into the aerospace and automotive sectors.
The Successful CNC Grinder – Package:


  • £22.72 per hour (£54,818.82 per annum)

  • Shift - 46.40 Hour Night Shift - 18.00 to 06.00 Monday to Thursday

  • 4-night working week – long weekends every week!

  • Overtime available

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Pension scheme

  • Stable long-term opportunity with progression prospects

The Successful CNC Grinder – Role Accountabilities:


  • Set, operate, and adjust CNC grinding and polishing machines to produce precision metal components

  • Dress grinding wheels according to specifications and operational needs

  • Monitor machine performance, making adjustments to ensure workpieces meet exact specifications

  • Select and mount grinding wheels using hand tools and technical understanding of grinding processes

  • Inspect and measure workpieces using appropriate metrology equipment to verify dimensional accuracy

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and layouts to plan grinding sequences

  • Manage coolant flow during grinding processes

  • Remove finished components and store safely in appropriate containers

The Ideal CNC Grinder – Person Specification:


  • 3-5 years' experience in CNC grinding within the Aerospace/Automotive sectors

  • Experienced working to production targets and strict manufacturing timelines

  • Familiar with SOPs and company-specific documentation

  • Positive, results-driven attitude with strong teamwork skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Capable of managing workload, prioritising tasks, and working to deadlines
