If you're an experienced CNC Cylindrical Grinder based within a commutable distance to Durham I'd be keen to hear from you. My client is a subcontract precision engineering business who suply the aerospace and Oil & Gas sectors and due to growth have a permanent vacancy for a CNC Cylindrical Grinder.

In this role you'll be working on a 2 shift system of dayshift, 6-2 (12 Friday) and backshift, 2-11.25 Mon-Thu.

What you'll be doing:

• Studer Grinders. (External & internal grinding)
  
  
• Grinding wheel and tool selection with dressing techniques
  
  
• Shadow graph
  
  
• Be able to use and read all manner of inspection equipment.
  
  
• Thread grinding.
  
  
• Profile grinding.
  
  
• Coolant management
  
  About you:
  
  
• Time Served Grinder.
  
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
  
• Able to read and understand drawings.
  
  
• Able to Program a CNC Studer Control.
  
  
• Able to inspect own work.
  
  
• Must be able to work to extremely tight tolerances.
  
  
• Must have good knowledge of different grades of wheel for specific materials.
  
  The basic hourly rate is £17-19ph plus a 20% shift allowance which is paid on both the early and late shift.
