Job Title:Certification Manager – Electronic Identification and Trust Services

Location:Remote Based - UK or Europe

Join BSI as an Electronic Identification & Digital Trust Services Certification Manager.

As a pivotal member of our digital & connected product certification team, you'll drive the development of our latest scheme and manage a diverse portfolio of Electronic Identification and Trust Services certification services. Your role involves ensuring compliance with EU and UK eIDAS legislation, delivering top-notch assessment and certification services, and meeting commercial targets while prioritizing client satisfaction.

In this dynamic position, you'll engage in client meetings, trade shows, and technical committee meetings, occasionally traveling overseas. Additionally, you'll lead internal training initiatives for the successful rollout of various certification services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages and owns the certification schemes, ensuring certification applications are processed timely and effectively. Delivery of projects to client deadlines ensuring fee earning potential is maximised, profitability and with a high-quality technical content. Identify and represent BSI interests with external bodies such as industry associations, standards committees, and notified body groups. Manage the interface between BSI and accreditation/regulatory bodies at an operational level. Review of technical reports and provision of certification recommendations. Proactively identify new or amended product standards/directives to ensure BSI’s certification schemes are kept up to date and relevant. Lead project, assessment and/or evaluation teams as required ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with Clients and within the team. Proactively identifies product development opportunities to support section and business development growth targets. Represent BSI’s interests in relevant industry technical groups. Proactively develops and maintain excellent relationships with current and potential clients.

Required Skills & Experience:

Essential:

Knowledge of regulations, directives standards and/or other relevant documents and procedures for Electronic Identification and Trust Services, including eIDAS (EU Regulation 910/2014), UK eiDAS regulation, UK digital identity and attributes trust framework and ETSI EN 319 series of standards. Strong knowledge in ISMS (ISO 27k) and auditing principles. Able to demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness. Educated to degree level in a technical discipline, or other means of demonstrating technical learning capability.

Desirable:

Awareness and technical familiarity with the upcoming eIDAS v2 regulation and personal digital wallet for EU. Experience in Certification techniques used in BSI or similar Certification Bodies. Including knowledge of the quality requirements of ISO 17065. Familiar with companies providing electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions with focus sectors: Governments, Professional services, Transport, Online and Financial. ISO 27001 Auditor Qualification.
