Who we are and what we do? We help our customers deliver products that have a profound impact on people’s lives, from ultrasound units and 3D printing to network security applications and in-flight Wi-Fi. We’re a global team of experts partnering with our customers to bring their products to life through innovation and customer service.
The Business Development Director will be responsible for identifying and converting revenue opportunities supporting Plexus's growth objectives. This includes developing and executing strategic plans targeting key accounts within the European Defense sector, achieving revenue targets through strategic selling methodologies. A key focus will be cultivating a portfolio of target accounts aligned with Plexus's customer profile, ensuring resource allocation maximizes impact.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase business wins and advocate for capability requirements.
Identify and validate profitable business opportunities, prospect and qualify accounts, and maintain knowledge of current and potential customers.
Build relationships with external customers and within Plexus, partnering with manufacturing and engineering teams.
Develop market sector knowledge to inform business development efforts and establish credibility with target customers.
Work with account leaders to develop strategies to win business, translating customer needs into deliverable solutions.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant discipline, with experience in business development or sales within the European Defense sector.
Established professional network and proven success in securing revenue in the European Defense industry.
Expertise in strategic selling principles and methodologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and customer intelligence.
Ability to independently drive assignments and influence stakeholders.
