Job Description

What will you be doing? 

We are seeking experiencedSatellite AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing) Engineersto join our team supporting the mechanical and environmental validation of satellite platforms and payloads.

This role involves hands-on work in cleanroom environments, executing integration, alignment, and test activities, and preparing for satellite launch campaigns.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering mission-critical hardware to the highest aerospace standards.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Perform AIT operations in cleanroom environments following ESD and safety protocols.
  • Support the integration and alignment of satellite structures and subsystems.
  • Use MGSE (Mechanical Ground Support Equipment) to handle and position flight hardware safely.
  • Execute mechanical and environmental tests including vibration, TVAC, and acoustic testing.
  • Support launch campaign activities including final integration and transport preparation.

Who are we looking for? 

  • Read and interpret technical documentation such as MICDs, 3D CAD models, and STBE instructions.
  • Carry out wiring, gluing, and MLI application procedures with precision and care.
  • Use mechanical measurement tools (e.g., calipers, laser trackers, CMMs) for verification tasks.
  • Document procedures and write technical reports in line with quality and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in AIT, mechanical integration, or environmental testing for satellites or aerospace hardware.
  • Hands-on experience working in cleanroom and controlled environments.
  • Knowledge of MGSE operation and precision alignment techniques.
  • Familiarity with vibration, TVAC, acoustic, and mass property testing (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of aerospace documentation, 3D models, and mechanical drawings.
  • Willingness to travel and support launch campaigns internationally.
  • Eligible to obtain or currently hold SC-level UK security clearance.
