MPI Limited are looking for Aircraft Avionics Technical Instructors to teach technical training to multi-national students with an age range of 16-35 in both classroom &; aircraft hangar environments based in the Wolverhampton area.

The Aircraft Avionics Instructor position is an ongoing contract, working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year. (Due to holiday shutdown periods).

Rate of pay - PAYE £27.50 per hour - Limited Company &; Umbrella rates available

This position is classed as in scope of IR35 due to it being in the public sector.

Normal working hours are 08.30 – 17.00 Monday – Friday and 08.30 – 16.30 Friday. There are times when candidates are required to work outside of these hours and if this happens they are given time off in lieu.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Avionics Training Manager for classroom and practical instruction on a topic within the Avionics discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material. Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

Candidates must have served a recognised apprenticeship or a relevant alternative period of training and have obtained an ONC, BTEC or NVQ in the Avionics Trade Discipline and should have at least 5 years practical experience in their trade.

Applicants will be required to deliver a 10-15 minute presentation at the interview stage.

The successful applicant will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure at a cost of £25 and will undergo an MOD BPSS Security Clearance; this will only be required at job offer stage.
