Hyde Coatings Ltd is currently recruiting an Aerospace Drawing Interpreter (Masking) based at one of our bespoke treatment facilities in Stalybridge. As an Aerospace Drawing Interpreter (Masking) you will be responsible for the processing of various aerospace components through masking section in preparation for treatments such as Anodise, Vac Blast and Paint operations to customer drawing requirements. You will also be responsible for the support of training other maskers to correctly understand and interpret masking requirements from customer drawings.

Duties include but are not limited to;

Correctly interpreting drawing masking requirements with specific products used for different operations.

Fill out Job route cards. Follow data card instructions in line with the route card and examine parts to ensure conformance to specification.

Identify and monitor work throughout Masking section to promote lean.

Visually inspect work prior to, during and after finishing in accordance with specification controls.

Responsible for inspection and safe handling of customers parts.

Identify work, maintain traceability and preserve the quality of customer’s parts.

Responsible for meeting required job time lines and due dates.

Ensure all working equipment is within calibration dates.

Support in training of others with drawing training and interpretation

Supporting the Masking passing off operation to ensure parts leave the masking section right first time.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills;

Must have the ability to interpret aerospace engineering drawings.

Desired Skills;

Good team player with the patience and ability to train others.

Experience required;

Minimum of 1 year in a similar role or working with aerospace drawings.
