Following a successful business case, we are pleased to invite applications for an Advanced Pharmacist, SACT -a new position within a well-established pharmacy cancer services team. The post will primarily be based at Peterborough City Hospital although you may be required to travel to other sites within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist who has both clinical and leadership experience within oncology and haemato-oncology*. You will lead and operationally manage a team of pharmacists, technicians and support staff offering a clinical service across the haematology/oncology ward and day unit, liaising with the clinical trials and aseptics teams at Peterborough City Hospital.
The pharmacy cancer team is integrated within the cancer division, with a satellite pharmacy at the heart of the haematology/oncology outpatient department enabling us to provide a high-quality pharmacy service to cancer patients. We are keen to develop a pharmacist prescriber role within our oncology outpatient clinics and so a non-medical prescriber qualification would be desirable.
*This post can also be offered as a development opportunity to candidates with no haemato-oncology experience. Candidates will start at a band 7 level and once successful training is completed (at least 12 months) an uplift to band 8a will be consider based on performance.

You will ideally have project management or service improvement experience to help move forward the pharmacy agenda within the Trust's cancer strategy. You will have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills and can demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
The post is full time ( hours a week) with weekend and bank holiday working as part of a department-wide rota.
